Why choose stretch glitter fabrics for evening wear?

Sparkly stretch moonlight combines an eye-catching glitter effect with built-in elasticity, making it particularly suited to dance costumes, party pieces, and formal wear. Because the base cloth is sheer, dressmakers frequently use it as an overlay over bodices, gathered skirts, and sleeves. The stretch allows garments to follow the lines of the body comfortably without pulling across seams.

Layering sheer nylon and polyester fabrics

Our moonlight materials are composed of 70% nylon and 30% polyester. This blend gives the fabric durability and flexibility while maintaining a delicate, lightweight feel. Because the material is semi-transparent, the backing fabric you choose dictates the depth of colour and shine:

• Opaque linings: Underlining with a solid fabric provides coverage while allowing the surface shimmer to stand out.
• Unlined accents: Leaving sleeves, yokes, or hem ruffles as a single sheer layer lets light pass through the fine knit.
• Gathered tiers: Layering multiple sheer tiers creates dimensional volume without adding heavy weight to a garment.

The glitter finish is distributed evenly across the surface, giving consistent sparkle when draped or ruched into folds.
