Cotton poplin, polycotton and stretch foil mesh
The designs in this range are produced across several different textile bases, each suited to different sewing tasks. Plain-weave 100% cotton and cotton poplin—including options at 100gsm—offer a firm, non-stretch weave that feeds evenly through a sewing machine and presses into sharp seams. A poly/cotton blend provides a lightweight woven alternative for dressmaking and general craft work. For fancy dress garments, theatrical costumes, or textured overlays that need flexibility, the range also includes lightweight stretch foil mesh.
Width options and seasonal motifs for dressmaking and craft
The fabrics come in varied widths depending on the cloth base, including 44" and 112cm, alongside wider cuts at 137cm, 147cm, and 150cm. Knowing the width is useful when calculating meterage for larger items such as cushion covers, bed covers, and table runners, or when planning smaller cuts for patchwork and quilting.
