Polycotton (poly cotton) is a blend of polyester and cotton. It combines the breathability and comfort of cotton with the strength, crease resistance and easy care of polyester, and it is usually more affordable than 100% cotton.
It is used for bed sheets and duvet covers, workwear and uniforms, school clothing, linings, aprons, toiles, craft projects and costumes.
Which width do I need?
- 44" (112cm) – dressmaking, craft and linings.
- 60" (150cm) – garments and larger projects with less waste.
- 92" (235cm) – sheeting width for duvet covers and bed sheets without a seam.

Much less than pure cotton. The polyester content helps it resist creasing and dry quickly.
