Understanding polycotton blends and fabric weights
Polycotton pairs the natural feel of cotton with the strength of polyester fibre. Within this collection, the fabrics are woven at a width of 112cm and feature two main compositions: a 65% polyester and 35% cotton mix, and an 80% polyester and 20% cotton blend. Weighing approximately 90gsm, these woven fabrics are lightweight yet firm under the needle. Because the material does not slip or stretch out of shape during pinning and stitching, it is straightforward to handle for dressmakers and crafters alike.

The light, plain-weave structure is suited to unlined clothing, lightweight home furnishings and detailed craft projects. Typical uses include:
